SELETTI wears TOILETPAPER Enamelled Metal Plate

Descrizione prodotto

Seletti wears Toiletpaper is a special tableware collection of dishes, mugs, and tablecloths featuring visual metaphors and avant-garde imagery, which was presented in anticipation of the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2013.
Inspired by the images from the Toilet Paper magazine, designed by the Italian duo of art provocateur Maurizio Cattelan and fashion photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari, the collection represents a combination of black humor and commercial photography with a vintage touch and in a surreal mood.
The plate made of enamelled metal in pastel colors reminds of an atmosphere in a village osteria during the 50′s and features the famous disturbing image of a captured canary with her wings nearly being cut off with the scissors, previously published in the Toiletpaper magazine.
